BIG READ: Behind the scenes of Aribim Pepple's move from Cavalry to Luton Town

Luton Town – Clubs Gathering To Sign Luton Town Striker

Yesterday, here on Vital Luton Town, we ran an article relating to the future of Aribim Pepple.

The article – striker-seeks-talks – concentrated on, as the title suggests, Aribim’s future and whether it lay with the Hatters or elsewhere.

Well, it seems that if Matt Bloomfield doesn’t have plans to utilise Aribim next season, then clubs are starting to form a queue to try and entice him away from Kenilworth Road.

According to the Daily Mail Pepple is already interesting two clubs with League Two club, MK Dons, and the Scottish club, St Mirren, mentioned as two possible destinations.

Our referenced source also has the temerity to infer that the Hatters are willing to sell Aribim for as little as £150,000 which seems a steal to me.

If the above line is correct then it would, to me, imply that Matt Bloomfield may have already made his mind up with regards to the future of the 22-year-old striker who spent last season, on loan, at the National League club, Southend United and in League Two, with Chesterfield.

But, as I mentioned earlier in the article, that fee seems to be a steal, watch him go on and score 20 goals for his next club.

I’ve aired my views, please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article.

Over the last ten days, or so, I’ve been running a series entitled – The Big Question.

It simply asks a question whether you believe a certain player should be with us next season or if they should be sold or moved on.

The last couple of articles, published in the series, have, seemingly, stirred up a hornets nest.

Now while some of those players may, you feel, not be worthy of a place in the squad, we hope you are sensible enough to realise that, financially, Luton Town are not in a position to simply pay what remains on a players contract to see him leave, GET RID, isn’t really something that is achievable without serious, for some players, financial implications for the club.

The only ways players will leave is if a club comes in with an offer that the Luton Town hierarchy feel is acceptable or, if they are approaching the end of their contract, the phrase ‘mutual consent’ comes into play, where some sort of deal can be, successfully, negotiated to bring their current deal to a quick and conclusive end.

Now, I’m not laying the blame for this confusion on anyone except myself, perhaps the Big Question that comes towards the end of each of the articles is a little confusing or misleading.
