Georgia football is after a lot of interesting recruits in the 2026 recruiting class. While most of those intriguing targets are those recruits who are ranked at the top of the class rankings, there are other players who are very interesting for other reasons.
One of those players is four-star offensive lineman Brandon Anderson. Anderson is from Kennesaw, GA who according to the 247Sports composite rankings is the No. 287 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 22 overall offensive lineman in the country and the No. 34 player from Georgia.
On the surface, Anderson feels like a recruitment that is very cut and dry, but that is not the case at all. Reason being is because he originally committed to Tennessee back in October. However, just days after visiting the Vols in January for one of their Junior Days, Anderson decided to decommit from Tennessee altogether.
Fast forward just a couple more days and Anderson announced four official visits that he will take later this summer.
Georgia in the running for Brandon Anderson
According to Sam Spiegelman with Rivals, Georgia will get the first official visit from Anderson later this summer beginning on May 30th. Anderson will then take a few other visits after his trip to Athens which includes Florida, Florida State and Tennessee.
As mentioned, Anderson is someone who strangely decommitted from Tennessee just days after visiting the Vols for their Junior Day in January. It appeared that this move would rule out Tennessee in his recruitment, but that clearly is not the case.
It will be interesting to see how this recruitment plays out as Anderson is an in-state prospect that Kirby Smart and his staff clearly want. Usually that is a good sign for Georgia, but we’ll have to wait until this summer to see how this recruitment plays out.
