Tottenham battle Bournemouth for Eredivisie sensation as Iraola transfer intensifies
With the summer transfer window around the corner, Daniel Levy has already started building blocks for the potential summer arrivals, and Tottenham Hotspur chairman will be looking to continue the transfer policy that the North Londoners have adapted of late in bringing high-potential young players as that continues with the potential targets at N17, among whom is Feyenoord forward Zepiqueno Redmond. The Lilywhites have been looking to move for the 18-year-old this summer and are facing competition from Premier League rivals Bournemouth, per Football Insider.
The chase for Zepiqueno Redmond intensifies
The teenager is set to become a free agent at the end of the ongoing campaign, and Spurs want to take advantage of his situation, given he is yet to sign a new contract with his current employers.
Despite his young age, he has already been called up to the Feyenoord senior team, where he has made nine appearances already and has contributed to a couple of goals. Redmond has also been included in other Feyenoord youth teams; he has played in each of the Under-19 and Under-21 teams, where he netted three goals in 15 games in all competitions.
Looking into the teenager, he is a natural centre-forward; however, he does possess the versatility to feature effectively on the left as well as the right flank. You could also successfully deploy him in an attacking midfield role. And this ability to fit into various positions is something that Ange Postecoglou loves to have in his roster, which could possibly help the teenager get into the Australian head coach’s good books if he were to move to N17.
Tottenham and Bournemouth have other transfer battles as well…
That being said, interestingly, Spurs and the Cherries aren’t rubbing shoulders only for Zepiqueno Redmond – the duo are also involved in Andoni Iraola battle with Tottenham eyeing the basque coach owing to his impressive performances with Bournemouth while they are trying to hand him a new contract to fend off interests from the North Londoners.
Both the off-field battles would be interesting ones, and it is to be seen if Daniel Levy can get two off two on Bournemouth in the offseason, which should place the North Londoners confidently going into the next season.

Andoni Iraola in contract talks with Bournemouth amid Tottenham Hotspur interest
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou finds himself under mounting pressure at N17 as the club’s Premier League season continues to spiral downward. The Lilywhites are on course to record their lowest-ever points tally in the Premier League era, and what was once a campaign filled with promise is fast becoming one to forget. For Spurs fans, the frustration is growing as their side sinks further down the table in a worrying freefall.
Their latest setback came in the form of a 2-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest—another bitter pill to swallow just days after an uplifting Europa League triumph. Supporters had hoped that the momentum from Thursday night would carry over, but instead, they were met with a performance devoid of hunger and urgency. Costly individual errors once again proved to be Spurs’ undoing, as the team failed to rise to the occasion when it mattered most.
As Tottenham head into a pivotal stage of the season, it is imperative for Ange Postecoglou to rally his squad and extract their best form. With domestic hopes all but extinguished, carving out positive results in the Premier League has become less about standings and more about rebuilding confidence and rhythm ahead of the Europa League semi-finals. The limp display against Nottingham Forest only reinforced the notion that Spurs have effectively written off their league campaign, placing all their hopes on a European run to salvage what’s left of a dismal season.
With each passing day, the pressure continues to mount on Ange Postecoglou, and it’s becoming increasingly likely that he may not be able to hold onto his job beyond this season. Even a strong Europa League run might not be enough to offset Tottenham’s alarming decline in the Premier League. According to reports, chairman Daniel Levy has already begun exploring potential replacements, with Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola and Fulham manager Marco Silva emerging as leading contenders to take over at N17. The final weeks of the season could ultimately determine Postecoglou’s fate.
“There is a concrete possibility of seeing Tottenham trying to attack the situation. But Bournemouth are talking to Iraola. They are quite confident about keeping him for one more season. So let’s see how the conversations continue. I’m sure also this week there will be a new round of talks between Iraola and Bournemouth, but for sure, they want to keep him.”
Romano has reported that Tottenham are still actively pursuing Andoni Iraola as a potential managerial appointment. Despite Spurs’ interest, Bournemouth remain confident that the Spanish coach will commit to another season at the Vitality Stadium. Romano further adds that the Cherries are keen to secure Iraola’s future swiftly and are expected to open contract extension talks with him this week. As Tottenham continue to assess their options, Bournemouth are moving quickly to shut the door on any potential exit.
