Danny Rohl shares terrifying prediction for Sheffield Wednesday with clear warning to Chansiri
Sheffield Wednesday are going through a dismal period, and Danny Rohl’s impending departure is a matter of when rather than if.
Under the ownership of Dejphon Chansiri, Sheffield Wednesday have been put through hard times, with the management of Danny Rohl being the shining light.
Wednesday couldn’t afford to pay their players in March, with the owner citing ‘cashflow’ problems as the reason, while towards the end of 2024, they were unable to register players due to another case of poor financial management.
Although the sale of Sheffield Wednesday has been mooted, that is unlikely to happen anytime soon and instead, fans will be put through more hell under their current owners.
Following Friday’s 2-0 defeat to Stoke City, Rohl even sent a clear warning to Chansiri about what could happen next season if they don’t book their ideas up.

Danny Rohl makes a terrifying Sheffield Wednesday prediction
Rohl has done a wonderful job since taking charge of the club in October 2023. Last season, he miraculously saved them from relegation, and now, they’re sitting comfortably in mid-table with no threat of go
For Wednesday to continue to progress as a club, investment in the playing squad will be needed, but as the owners are reluctant to do so, the German coach fears that Wednesday could be battling relegation next term.
“If you want to improve as a club, you have to do a lot of things right in the summer, otherwise – and this is what I tell you – next season will be a big, big fight to stay in this league,” Rohl said.
“We have a group of players that are not able to play at this level – not my football. I must say this today very directly.
“I think I protect all my players again and again, I take all the responsibility, I give chances now to players to see what they can do, but the results at the moment are not what they should be.”
Relegation is a real possibility once Rohl leaves
Rohl has worked wonders under tight constraints at Hillsborough, seeing improvements on the pitch despite boasting a squad that was predicted to struggle.
But, once Rohl leaves Wednesday amid interest from several clubs – including Leicester City and Southampton – it’s terrifying to think how much the Owls could slide down the league table.

The next manager in charge of the Yorkshire outfit can’t expect to be backed by the owners, instead relying on the free transfer market to invest in the squad.
Some of their current stars could also want to jump ship, as there is no clear ambition being shown off the pitch to improve and go to the next level.
Ultimately, all those factors point towards a grim future, in which Wednesday could suffer relegation from the Championship once Rohl departs.
