Skellefteå star Jonathan Pudas received death threats during an SHL match.
Now a 28-year-old man is charged, suspected of unlawful threats.
– I’ve had enough, says Pudas.
During the match against Färjestad in October, the man sent a message to Pudas on Instagram: “Horunge you should die tonight”.
The hockey star then chose to report to the police.
– This type of message comes every now and then, unfortunately. Now I feel that I have had enough, and I really think that this should be noticed, says Pudas to Norran.
– No player wants it like this, and I hope people will realize that this behavior is not okay. When it goes this far, one, two and three borders have been crossed. That’s enough for now, and that’s why I’m doing this.
The Värmland Färjestad supporter denies any crime. He has said in questioning that he did not remember writing the message.
Jonathan Pudas does not claim any compensation or damages. He says that the police report was mostly made to mark that the death threat was over the line.
