Milan's Asmir Begovic: 'When I first came back, nobody was in the streets' | Milan | The Guardian

Mads Hermansen’s Potential Exit Opens Door for Asmir Begovic

Mads Hermansen and Jacub Stolarczyk are both part of the pre-season group. Stevie Bausor and Jake Donohue are also in the travelling party. With this is mind, no need to sign a third goalkeeper alterantive.

Fabrizio Romano has today made a comment about Leicester being close to signing Asmir Begovic as a cover. However, that will only happen if Mads Hermansen is to leave.

Romano believe there have been contact between Leicester and the goalkeeper. Begovic is currently a free agent. He will possibly not join Leicester. This depends if he has other offers on the table at this time.

We would certainly not see Asmir Begovic as a third alternative, at this time. Not the man himself either, so this must indicate that a move for Mads Hermansen also could be close.

On the right back we have picked Steve Whitworth. This was a close one. Competition included two of the players at the club today, Ricardo Pereira and James Justin. Peter Rodrigues was also in contention. Rodrigues was a player that introduced the modern thinking of a full back, pushing forward. He played for Wales at international level. Played in the 1969 FA Cup final, later a winner of the same tournament with Southampton. To chose Steve Whitworth was not difficult. He established himself in the Leicester team as a teenager and took the level of top flight football with ease. He later also played at full international level for England.
