Through a statement on the official website, EFL League Two club Cheltenham Town have confirmed the signing of Irish-born Nigerian defender Val Adedokun, subject to EFL, FA and Premier League approval.
In search of more first-team playing opportunities, the Brentford-owned player will spend the remainder of the season on loan at The Robins.
In September, Adedokun was loaned out to Hungarian top-flight side Diósgyőri VTK, where he made three appearances.
The Dublin native has yet to make his senior debut for Brentford, although he received seven call-ups for first team games over the course of the 2023-2024 season, comprising five in the Premier League, and one each in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
A left sided defender, Adedokun captained Brentford’s B team last season, demonstrating his defensive and leadership qualities as well as showing his capacity to influence the game in the attacking third.
