Goalkeeper Norman leaves Oldham Athletic for Dorking
Magnus Norman has signed for Dorking Wanderers, having been released from his Oldham Athletic contract.
Norman recently returned early from a loan spell with Ebbsfleet United, due to personal circumstances.
The 27-year-old agreed a deal until the end of the season with Latics’ National League rivals on the eve of their FA Trophy third round tie away to Sutton United, after goalkeepers Mark Cousins and Dylan Berry were both suffering with flu.
Norman made his debut in that game, which ended 3-3 after 90 minutes and Ebbsfleet losing on penalties, but returned to Latics a few days later.
He has now reached an agreement to leave Boundary Park and join Marc White’s Dorking.
Norman was signed by Latics in the summer of 2022, under then manager John Sheridan.
He was an almost ever-present in his first season and earned a call-up to the England C team, only to miss out through injury.
The former Carlisle United goalkeeper started the 2023/24 campaign but lost his place to Mat Hudson in August and has not featured for Latics at all this season.
